Follow Friday #4

I am loving this Follow Friday as I have found lots of amazing blogs through it.  Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View.  ParaJunkee also asks us follower's to answer a question each week, so today's question for the follow is:

What is your usual monthly book budget?

I have to admit I am a book addict and my usual budget is between $100 to $200 (AUD).  It is a lot but books are very expensive here.  Usually between $20-$25 a book.  I am trying to it cut down to but there are just too many good releases lately.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Make sure to leave a comment and follow so I can return the favour.

  1. Hopping through and now following you! Wow, I wish I had enough money to buy that many books! My college student budget will now allow for it.

  2. i love book addicts. i'm more of a library girl. but you make me feel better about my occasional splurges :)

plus - books are expensive here, hey? $200 wouldn't go far...

  3. I wish I had a library nearby. I live about 45 mins from the city and it just too far to travel for books. I suppose if I shopped more at The Book Depository I would save $100 as their books are usually half the price :)

  4. Whoa! That's amazing. But, you've obviously got more money than I am. If I actually worked, I'd probably be buying at least 10 books a month, too. :P Yeah, Nomes... $200 for 12 books. And people in the US can get 12 books for $40 through Amazon. Really makes you think, doesn't it? Heh.

  6. Hi! I found you throught the hop, and I'm now following. I really love your blog, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it. How are you finding The DUFF so far? I really enjoyed it :)

Books here are relatively cheaper, but I don't buy them all the time since I'm still in college. There are times though (like when I'm all sad or accomplished or just feel like it) when I go on book binges and spend a lot haha. Not that I regret them one bit! :)

    Have a great weekend!

  12. Book budget? What's a book budget?

Seriously, I don't have one. I don't keep on buying books until I hit
bankruptcy but neither do I hold myself back from buying a book that really
    speaks to me.

I exercise a fair amount of fiduciary responsibility but nothing so formal
as to be called a book budget.

    TGIFF!

    Thank God It's Follow Friday!

  13. Thanks for stopping by my place, Nic. I have a feeling that if I lived in Australia, my book budget would be less than that. LOL. Especially at that price. I may write YA, but I'm addicted to adult romance books. Are those expensive, too?

  15. Thanks for all the comments!

@Gemini Widsom - Adult romance books generally are a little cheaper as we have more available so $15-$20 a book.

@Ginger & Erika - Have just finished The DUFF and it was awesome :)

  16. I've come by before, but now I'm an official follower. Yay!

I really don't pay that much attention to how much I spend on books, especially since most of what I read these days comes either from publishers or from the library. So, when I see a book I want to buy, I usually just do it :)

  17. Hi, Nic! Old follower here and just dropping by. :)

Ah, when fab books are released it's really so hard to stick with the budget! So I just ignore the budget and grab the book/s!! :)

    Have a nice weekend!

  19. Stopping by and we are new followers!!

Jesus your book budget is high!! That sucks that they are expensive where you are, do you have a kindle? Maybe ordering some books in ebook format would help. Either way, who am I talk. Walking into a book store for me is like how a kid feels when they walk into Toys R Us. :) Have a great weekend!
