There are so many but I would say my top pick is The Dairy Queen Series by Catherine Gilbert Murdock. DJ, the main character is so inspiring and just makes you want to be a better person.

I am so late visiting - if I had a human daughter I would urge her to read about things that interested her. But I would like her to read Austen, Anne Frank, Bradbury and/or Asimov, Hand Maids Tale. In the US we are, some are, coming to understand how fragile our civil rights are. Maybe she would read Twilight. Newly following.
