Aussie YA March Release!

Monday, February 28, 2011

March is nearly here and that means lots of amazing new Aussie young adult titles.  Here is a list of what is coming out with both Australian and international release dates (if available) together with a sentence or two from their goodreads description.

Note:  This post was inspired by Waiting on Wednesday over at Breaking the Spine and Books to Pine For by The Story Siren.

Triple Ripple: A Fabulous Fairy Tale by Brigid Lowry - Available 1st March, 2011 (Internationally 1st Sept, 2011) - Contemporary fiction.  It's a clever story that combines a fairytale and a modern-girl's tale, and reveals the magic of the writer's creative journey.

Me and Mr Booker by Cory Taylor - Available 1st March, 2011 (Internationally the same date).  Contemporary fiction.  Me and Mr Booker is a story about feeling old when you’re young and acting young when you’re not.

Burn Bright (Night Creatures #1) by Miranne de Pierres - Available 1st March, 2011 (Internationally - kindle 1st March, 2011 - no date yet for paperback) - Dark fantasy novel.  Into a world of wild secrets and deadly pleasures comes a girl whose innocence may be her greatest strength.

Desert Fish by Cherise Saywell - Available 1st March, 2011 (Internationally no date yet).  Contemporary fiction.  A dark love story, Desert Fish is a powerful and unflinching debut novel.

all four of these sound fantastic, but I am especially intrigued by Triple Ripple, I am a sucker for anything that even smacks of fairy tale and modern day. Thanks for turning me onto these titles.

sigh, Nic, what are doing to me??? I have no Kindle, just a Nook, and Burn Bright and Desert Fish sound faaaaaaaabulous! Sadness!! Do you think the hubs would agree to a field trip to Aussie for books? Must make this happen. . .

PS - did you see Forever YA's review of Raw Blue? Loved it!

I so what to read Burn Bright! Nice to know that it comes out Internationally tomorrow on Kindle! I hope the cover is with it. It bugs me to no end when a book has a standard blah cover on Kindle.

OMG! I want Desert Fish now! Burn Bright looks really good too.

Thanks for the heads up. I will make plans to eat air all month so I can save my grocery money for books.
