The other day Jacinda from The Reading Housewives of Indiana (go check out her and Jasmine's awesome blog) left a comment asking how do I remember quote?. Do I use those handy little sticky notes? It got me thinking about reviewing habits.
I personally can't live without my sticky notes when I read for quotes. Most of the time I make little notes on them like 'romance quote', 'inspiring quote' and 'lol quote' so it is easy to find what I am looking for. I also have a journal nearby when I am reading. I jot down my thoughts like how I feel before I start the book then afterwards, characters, plot, romance, writing etc. Also again quotes that really stand out because eventually I remove those sticky notes (don't want to damage those precious pages).
When I go to write my review, I do a draft the same day while it is still fresh in my mind, then I come back a couple of days later once I had some more time to think about the book and tidy the review up. I can't leave it too long because I tend to struggle with writing a review. When it comes to how long I spend writing my review, I am not sure but probably way too long.
I would love to hear your reviewing habits.
So please leave a comment especially any handy tips.
